Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I make an appointment?
If you have a prescription from your doctor recommending Physical Therap or would like to be evaluated by a physical therapy via the direct access law which does not require a doctors prescription, give us a call at 805.370 1020

Have your calendar ready - we are open Monday to Friday 7:00am to 7:00pm. Our first appointment time is 7:00am and the last appointment time is 6:00pm. We offer lunch time appointments and have both male and female therapists on staff. We will try to keep you with the same therapist for each visit, depending on which appointment times suit you the best.

What is Direct Access?

“On October 7th 2013 Governor Brown signed AB 1000 into law enabling Californians to directly access physical therapist services." Effective January 1st 2014 Californians can now seek relief from pain and injuries that effect their ability to function by seeing a physical therapist directly without needing a physician referral.

What can I expect my first visit?
The first visit will be spent taking a detailed history and assessing your strength, range of motion, flexibility and balance. We generate a written report of our findings which we send to your doctor. We will also include some treatment on the first visit, so this visit can last 60 to 90 minutes. Each subsequent visit typically lasts one hour.

Will my insurance cover my visit?
As a courtesy to our patients we will call your insurance company and find out your physical therapy benefits. This will give you an idea of what to expect for your co-payment/co-insurance per visit. Copayments are collected at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

What should I wear to Physical Therapy?
Bring or wear appropriate clothing such as a T-shirt or tank top for shoulder/back injuries and shorts for ankle/hip/knee injuries. We do have gowns and shorts available if you prefer.
